Lunga River Lodge - Our ViewLUNGA RIVER LODGE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED. Located on the outskirts of the park, we do not view Lunga as being a place to experience the best of Kafue's game viewing; it is a lodge that is best booked with some time on the Busanga Plains. Having said that, the river safari and fishing opportunities here are superb and the lodge has had consitently good management for years now. A great choice for people wanting a few nights focussing on the river.

More about Lunga River LodgeLocated in the North East of the Kafue, on the banks of the Lunga River, Lunga River Lodge is a wonderful espape. With only six rooms the lodge is miles from anywhere (linked by its own private airstrip) and guests can therefore experience a beautiful stretch of the river completely untouched by other people. With bags of room in the camp the communal areas are stunning (including the only pool in Kafue!) the bar has a sundeck that is suspended over the river, breakfasts are served on an open air area also overlooking the river but there is also a covered dining area if needed. Manicured lawns lead down to the stone paths towards the rooms; which are thatched cottages all with balconies or decks that look out over the river. Red tiled floors surround the mosquito draped beds and lead off to the en suite bathrooms rooms five and six have outside baths built in to the balconies that are suspended over the river.
