  • Kuyenda Bush Camp

Sits directly on the banks of the Manzi River in the far-flung reaches of the South Luangwa National Park. Open from 01 June to 31st October, guests can fly into Mfuwe Airport and transfer by road to camp.

Combined with the modern luxuries you’d expect at home and the isolated bush, Kuyenda is perfect for the enthusiastic safari traveller. Four en-suite grass and thatch chalets accommodate a total of just 8 guests at a time and offer a more personalised and tranquil stay for a small group or family.

Phil Berry is usually at the camp and is an experienced and specialist guide. He is a noted authority on giraffe and leopard and is likeable and passionate about his work.

The camp offers dawn walking safaris and both afternoon and night drives on open vehicles. There is an abundance of lagoons in the area providing watering holes and dramatic scenery in which to enjoy game viewing.

The plethora of game is surrounded by beautiful bush-land at Kuyenda in this pocket of the South Park, which can be explored within close range from the camp. The rustic chalets and location alone make a stay here the height of a traditional Zambian experience.
