More about Crocodile CampOn the Chikoko Trails, Remote Africa Safaris offer an unsurpassed walking experience in the Luangwa Valley. One of the two bushcamps, Crocodile Camp, overlooks a dry Ox Bow lake, across the river from Tafika Camp. Located within the South Luangwa National Park boundary, walks from Crocodile explore wilderness areas, entirely free from roads and vehicle access. The landscapes here are beautiful and the diverse game increasingly relaxed to those passing on foot. The camp houses 6 guests in 3 chalets of thatch and pole, sourced from the surrounding woodland. Day to day luxuries are not forgotten and guests are provided with solar lighting, drinking water, mosquito nets and each has an en suite flush toilet and bathroom with heated water in the evenings. Rustic in style, the Chikoko Trails Camps are the epitome of a divine back-to-basics safari experience. Fabulous food is prepared in hole-in-the-ground ovens, chilled beers are served by smiling staff, steaming bucket showers (overhead drum) relieve tired limbs, shaded hammocks and vibrant piles of cushions make excellent siesta spots and comfortable beds in cool en-suite chalets Crocodile is open from mid-June to the end of October.
