Chamilandu Bush Camp Located a short distance by road from Mfuwe Airport, overlooks the Nchendeni Hills. Magnificent ox-bow lagoons set the scene for this camp set deep within South Luangwa .
Guest numbers are limited to 6, staying in 3 raised chalets 10ft above the ground and offer breathtaking views over the lagoons and the Luangwa river. Four-poster beds and rooms furnished with a blend of wrought iron and creams are relaxing and indulgent. You are unlikely to see any other tourists while at Chamilandu and can enjoy early morning walks with an armed scout and expert guide, before enjoying brunch and a relax in the afternoon. After the lunchtime sun, a game drive in an open vehicle allows you to venture further into the bush ands gives guests the opportunity to see the herds of larger animals. A walk before dusk will work up an appetite Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Antelope and many birds such as Kingfishers and Eagles are frequent visitors to the lagoons for a drink and to wallow in their waters.
