Safari Combinations; Bespoke Design by Zambia Odyssey
Playing host to some of Africa’s finest game viewing and natural beauty, we believe that itineraries for weeks on end should be designed solely within Zambia - there really is no reason to venture any further than the National parks and reserves within its borders. Unless of course you want a beach!
However, Zambia’s direct neighbours also offer some great, albeit busier (and more often than not more expensive!) game viewing. As a company that has traveled literally everywhere in Sub-Saharan Africa, we design trips for our clients throughout the continent that combine Zambia with the countries that touch her borders and also with the beach destinations on and off the African Coast.
Zambia’s Northern border for example is shared with Tanzania, home to the largest herds on the planet and now, with flights direct to the Tanzanian coast from Lusaka, the islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago are the most convenient beach add-on to a safari in Zambia (for an overview of all the beach options in the region please scroll down to ‘Beach Breaks’ on the tool bar)
A three hour flight from Lusaka South via Johanesburg and travellers reach Cape Town, without doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world (with fantastic beaches and great weather around Christmas time).
For those of us traveling for a longer duration then a three to four week itinerary including the game parks of Botswana is a stunning but very pricey option. Likewise, the scenic beauty of Namibia and the Sossusvlei Sand Dunes adds another choice.
The reality though is that for those of us looking for the Africa that still survives today, in privacy and in areas of untouched wilderness packed with game, then Zambia is home to a kind of experience that its neighbours cannot compete with. Zambia is home to the Africa of old and we cannot recommend anywhere else throughout the continent as highly.
